Choosing to face challenges head-on is often the more difficult choice. And especially at a time like this when everything is so uncertain.
Let’s contemplate the alternative for a moment. You can choose to run away from the challenges that face you. You can choose the easy way out. You can do the ostrich thing and put your head in the sand, and hope they go away, But they won’t. Trying to hide from, or ignore, the current challenges will not make them magically disappear. They will only grow more difficult and more complicated.
Choosing to face the challenges will, at first, seem to the be the more difficult and onerous choice. But having the courage to honestly see, and deal with, the challenges now – when they are probably more manageable – will save you from becoming overwhelmed in the future.
It may be difficult to do what needs to be done when it needs to be done. And even terrifying. But if you do not, these challenges will only get worse.
Facing your challenges, whatever they are, on your own terms will make it easier. Far better than being forced to face your challenges when your options have become more limited and your position weakened.
So – use your common sense today – choose to face up to your challenges and you will find that you can rise above them.
