We need to learn to treat each day as the most important day that we have. Because it is.
Today is very important. And what you do with it, is just as important. Once today is gone, it will be gone forever. You will not have this day again and no amount of wishing will bring it back.
We should wake up each day and grasp it with intent. Reach out with both hands out and grab the day. Decide to do something worthwhile with the day. With each day.
There are no rules about what we do with each day. But, I suggest that we start doing something worthwhile with each day.
Worthwhile will mean something different to each one of us. For some, it will mean doing something for themselves; something they have been meaning to do for a long time. Maybe a chore they have been putting off, maybe reading that book, maybe baking a cake or maybe walking barefoot in the garden and listening to the birds singing.
For others, it could be doing something for meaningful for someone else. Picking fresh flowers from your garden and putting them on your neighbour’s doorstep or calling that person you have been meaning to speak to for weeks.
Whatever it is you decide to do with today – make it worthwhile. Make today count
