We are all facing a tough time, not just in South Africa but across the world. Tonight at midnight, our beloved country goes into lockdown for 21 days. It is time to take a step back, and respect the courage that our president, Cyril Ramaphosa, had in making this decision. And in supporting him and our country, we need to dig deep within ourselves and find our own courage.
Courage is not something you develop. It is something that you find inside yourself. But it is not always this big strong emotion that pushes you forward. It is sometimes a very small voice inside you that reminds you that you have what it takes.
Courage is not the dominion of special people. It is not something that only a select few possess. It is within each and every one of us. You might not think that you have courage, but perhaps that is just because you have been too afraid to summon it from within yourself.
Take a deep breath. Put your shoulders back. Hold you head up high and draw deep within yourself. Believe you have the courage and take that first step forward.
