Today is not an ordinary day. Not by any stretch of the imagination. And the past few days have not been ordinary either. But, what we must not lose sight of is that no day is ever just an ordinary day. No matter how difficult the situation or day might be, it is actually full of possibilities.
What we need to do is to open our eyes to those possibilities. We need to pay attention to where we are, and what we have. We need to shake off the shackles of worry. Shrug the cloak of disappointment from our shoulders. We need to banish the fear that keeps trying to grip us.
Our reality may not be what we had imagined it would be, but there are lots of opportunities. In fact, opportunities are spread around us as far as our eyes can see. We need to open our eyes. Wide. Wider. And then really see.
And once we start seeing those possibilities and opportunities, we will start to understand that our life is not way off in some imagined future someday. Our future is here. It is now. We need to embrace this extraordinary day and be ready to live it, today. Because we can!
