There are days that no matter what we do, things just appear to go wrong. And we start to question our judgement. And by doing this it is so easy to let negativity creep into our minds.
We begin with the what ifs, and the if onlys, and suddenly before we realise it we are berating ourselves for not doing what we should have done to avoid whatever the outcome is that we don’t like.
Stop! Life happens to all of us. We all have difficult days. We all come across circumstances and situations that we don’t particularly like. But this doesn’t mean that it is the end of the world. It doesn’t mean that we should give up. It doesn’t mean that we have failed and that we won’t reach our objective. It doesn’t mean we should put our dreams on hold.
After all, we have already come a long way and gone through so much to get to this point.
What we should be doing is pausing and reflecting on how well we have done. Pausing and acknowledging where we currently are. Pausing and catching our breath.
And then after we have given ourselves the credit that we so rightly deserve, we can again raise our eyes and fix them on the horizon of our lives and continue moving towards it.
